In the morning of April 29, 2022, at the Provincial Conference and Event Center, the Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to launch the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) 2022 with the theme "Strengthening measures to reduce risks on OSH, improving working conditions, safely adapting, flexibly and effectively controlling the Covid-19 epidemic. Vice Chairman of the People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung and representatives of departments, agencies and businesses attended.
In 2021, the Provincial People's Committee directed and assigned the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with other units in, to synchronously deploy practical measures to carry out OSH work to departments, branches, localities and enterprises in the province – said Nguyen Son Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, addressing the ceremony.
Accordingly, nearly 200,000 employees have been trained on OSH, over 384,000 have had periodical health checks and nearly 15,000 employees been examined for occupational diseases. There were 1,533 establishments and enterprises already conducting working environment monitoring, thereby the observance of the law provisions on occupational safety and health of enterprises was focused. However, over the past time, still there were private enterprises, small and medium enterprises, and production facilities who have not invested in improving the working environment as well as organizing trainings on OSH for employees. Labour accident was still high.
On behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman Hung called on all levels, branches, localities and employees to voluntarily comply with the State's regulations on occupational safety and health, safe working measures during the working and manufacturing process.
At the ceremony, Tin Nghia Corporation was honored to be awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Vice Chairman in recognition of its outstanding achievements in occupational safety and health in 2021.
