In Ha Noi, on Nov 22nd 2018, Tin Nghia honorly received the certificate of sustainable enterprise in 2018 from Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD), under the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). The program was hold by VCCI, Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Natuaral Resources and Environment, Vietnam General Federation of Labor. Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue – Deputy Prime Minister as well as other Ministers attended this event. This is the second consecutive time that the corporation received this honor certificate.
The program evaluation was based on enterprises’ activities in sustainable development as well as caring for the employees and other natural factors such as land, (surface) water, forest, minerals, air, etc.
According to Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh - VCCI General Secrectary, Vice President of VBCSD, the selection was based on The Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) with 131 criteria. The criteria were adjusted to align with The Global Reporting Inititative (GRI) standards of The Global Reporting Inititative that met Vienam laws and international practices. CSI 2018 can be applied to all types of enterprises and was an effective tool to support the enterprises in making sustainable reports according to the GRI standards.
In 2018, 100 enterprises have honorly received the certificate for sustainable enterprise. Moreover, there were Top 10 enterprises that performed excellenttly in receiving the certicates for 03 consecutive years.
The certificate of sustainable enterprise was the credential for activities of enterprise in the diretion of sustainability. At the same time, it encouraged Vietnamese enterprise to pay more attention in sustainable development and business strategies to satisfy all 03 factors: Economy – Environment – Society.
